Workshop Highlights:

🔍 Lens Recognition
Enhance your ability to identify lens materials, prescriptions, and designs with confidence. Learn quick, effective techniques to distinguish between lens types, coatings, and indices using both visual and tactile cues.
🖐️ Hand Edging
Experience the precision and satisfaction of re-shaping and fitting existing lenses into new frames. You’ll also have the opportunity to hand-edge a complete pair of lenses from start to finish, refining your craftsmanship and practical problem-solving skills.

🎨 Colour & Tints in Practice
Explore how different tint colours and densities affect vision, comfort, and aesthetics - including specialised medical and therapeutic tints. Participate in live demonstrations and exercises to enhance your product knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of how tint colours effect visual outcomes.
🔺 Prism in Lenses
See optics in action with engaging, hands-on prism activities. Learn how light behaves through prismatic lenses, how to detect and verify prism in finished spectacles, and how to explain its visual effects to patients with clarity and accuracy.

Outcome:
By the end of the workshop, participants will have improved their technical understanding of lens behaviour, strengthened their practical dispensing skills, and gained new confidence in recognising, recommending, and explaining complex lenses to patients.
