By the end of this session, delegates should be able to:
- Have a working knowledge of the wide range of ingredients included in eye cosmetics, and the desired functions and side effects of these ingredients
- Be aware of the preservatives used in eye cosmetics and the side effects of these
- Appreciate the difficulties involved in recommending specific products for patients with sensitive eyes
- Understand the potential for contamination of cosmetic products and applicators over time and the possible associated health effects
- Describe the main active ingredients in eyelash growth serums and the efficacy and side effects of these
- Be aware of the potential ocular and periocular complications of cosmetic medical procedures including botulinum toxin and filler injections
- Provide guidance for restarting use of cosmetics in patients who have had intraocular and eyelid surgery
