Synopsis: Key Concepts to Cover

  • Light absorption and transmission:
     How dyes and pigments in lenses selectively absorb wavelengths; Lambert–Beer law basics.
  • Spectral transmission curves: Show how different tints block UV, blue light, IR, etc.
Human visual perception:
  • Why brown increases contrast
  •  Why grey maintains colour neutrality
  •  Why yellow enhances brightness in low light
 
Potential Experiments / Demonstrations

  • Compare spectral transmission graphs of grey vs. brown vs. yellow.
  • Display how scene contrast changes through each tint.
