Synopsis: This session will examine measures of success during myopia management including treatment efficacy, maintenance of quality of life, setting appropriate treatment goals and expectations, review periods, and strategies for implementation if treatment targets are not met. Software and tools that can be used to guide the measurement of efficacy will also be discussed, as well as consideration of when to cease myopia control treatment.

- Characterise treatment efficacy in the context of ‘normal’, uncontrolled myopia progression and influencing factors, and setting appropriate treatment goals and expectations for those undergoing optical and pharmacological myopia control treatments.
- Develop strategies for the discussion of appropriate treatment expectations with patients undergoing myopia control and their caregivers.
- Understand approaches to decide when myopia control treatments can be ceased.
