Talk Description
A/Prof Noel Brennan presents on A Breakthrough Soft Contact Lens for Myopia Control
Duration: 45 minutes
Synopsis: With soft contact lenses for myopia control, there exists a nexus between, and thus a need to balance, efficacy and vision quality. In this presentation, A/Prof Noel Brennan outlines how the J&J research team simulated and tested different designs with an optical apparatus to better understand this relationship and its impact on the ‘dose– response’ effect.
Learn how design iteration and refinement led to lenslets and non-coaxial optics adding a fourth mode of controlling efficacy, without significantly impacting vision quality, thus breaking the traditional nexus linking these elements.
